Working out 4% of 30 is very easy.
Often the best approach to these is to work out what 1% is, which is always just divide it by 100.
So 1% is 0.3. Therefore 4% is four times that which is 1.2.
Hopefully that makes sense to you? The easiest way is to use a calculator of course with harder ones but that's the general method to use!
