Any examples when energy is convert into matter?

Energy is converted into matter in various processes, but it takes a huge amount of energy to materialise as matter.
Put another way, a small amount of matter contains a huge amount of energy.
Think about the universe itself - the matter came from somewhere and was created by energy.
When particles are given enough energy, then the excess energy can turn into matter. For instance in particle colliders highly charged particles can collide and the huge energy that they have is turned into matter - the decay products.
