Are blind dates a good way to meet people?

Blind dates are certainly a way of meeting people, whether they are a good way of meeting people depends on whether you go into it with an open mind or already fearing the worst!
The good thing about them is that you may get to meet people who you would never normally go for or meet but actually find that you have something in common.
However there are disaster stories too but the good thing to bear in mind is that if you don't like each other then you can simply call it a day at the end of the night and never see them again, so it might be fun to try from time to time!
