Are stars important
Question asked by: juarez
Asked on: 21 Mar 2009
Yes stars are incredibly important. They created all the heavy elements that are essential for life on earth.
All the elements such as carbon which our bodies are based on, oxygen which we breathe and the many minerals essential to our body, for the earth to be solid and so on were all made in the explosions of really massive stars when they died.
Without stars there would be no earth and no life as we know it - so yes they are very important if you want to have life.
