Are store credit cards worth getting for the initial discount?
Question asked by: mrquestion

Store credit cards are only worth getting under one condition:
That condition is that you know for sure you are going to be able to pay off the balance in full each month.
Why is this?
Because the interest rates on store cards can be totally extortionate so missing just one payment can cost you more in interest than you would ever make in savings on the card... therefore it is best to steer clear of store cards.
