Can I go to interviews whilst working elsewhere on company time?
Question asked by: mrquestion

This is one of those interesting questions to do with getting a new job where the answer is that you probably shouldn't, but that in practice I think everybody does and companies tacitly accept that they do.
After all the company is just the individuals that work there, and therefore most people no matter how senior move on.
I think the key is not to take the mickey with it - if you do make calls and do a little research for a new job whilst working elsewhere then do it in such a way that it doesn't affect the work you are doing for the company that currently employs you first and foremost.
