Can you really get scouted as a model in the street?

It does happen that people are scouted in the street to be a model by a scout, funnily enough, for a modelling agency.
However you would have to be very careful because with so many nutters out there these days there is a chance that it could be something dodgy either a disreputable agency or something worse.
Therefore you should never accept anything there and then but find out more information about the company - they should give you a business card. If it is a major agency that you have heard of then ensure that if you are to meet to discuss in further detail it is in their listed head office on their website and research thoroughly first to ensure that it is a reputable organisation.
