Can you wear Japanese hair sticks to a formal occasion; such as, a ball?

You can wear whatever you want unless there is a specific dress code banning this.
However there is nothing not smart about wearing Japanese hair sticks to a formal occasion and they can look very smart and nice if worn and dressed correctly in the hair therefore I think it should be fine for you to wear these!
