Cleaning a stained heater/radiator

We have dimplex night storage wall heaters. All tan/cream in colour. Someone has left a woollen top on the top of one and there is a stain or kind of scorch mark left on the heater from the material. is there any way to remove this mark? We have tried regular cleaning agents with no joy. We are set to move in a few weeks and need to clean it off to keep the landlord happy

If you can find the manufacturers instructions.

The reason is that experience shows that these often have specific information on cleaning and cleaning products that work with that equipment.

If no joy there maybe go to a hardware store and see what they recommend.
