Complete the sequence 1,2,5,10,20

Not too good on these maths ones, but maybe is it just 40? Because 5 x 2 is 10 and 10 x 2 is 20 so maybe the next is 40. Then again not sure why 5 is there because that's not the answer after all!

(1, 2),(5,10),(20,?)
