Currency Calculation
Question asked by: Rhombus

1 pound is 12.93 rands how do you calculate how many pounds is 1 rand...
Ok this is the classic question about converting from one currency to the other.
Well, if we need to MULTIPLY by 12.93 to move from pounds to rands, then all we do is the OPPOSITE operation to go the other way, that is divide. So we divide rands by 12.93 to work out how many pounds they are.
Let's check, if 1 pound is 12.93 rands then that many rands should be 1 pound. And indeed 12.93/12.93 is 1.
