Detection of magnet?

if you have a bar of iron and a magnet how will u detect which is which without using compass
Question asked by: amnamin

Asked on: 08 Nov 2010

The magnet will attract the bar of iron to it, but not vice versa.

In other words, if you hold them near each other and see which one moves towards the other. The one that moves is the iron, the one that does the attracting is the magnet.
