Do banks overcharge businesses for their banking services?
Question asked by: mrquestion

Banks certainly have high charges for businesses compared to what individuals get charged, which is nothing for basic personal banking services in the UK.
For instance you don't have to pay for a bank account, if you pay in a cheque, if you take money out and so on.
But with business banking there do tend to be charges for all of these things, and even to receive bank statements there is a charge.
I suppose banks get away with it as they always have done and there is the perception that businesses can afford to pay these fees!
