Do I have to keep credit card statements?

Question asked by: knowitall

It is up to you! There is no rule that you should keep them but it is a good idea if you want to query a transaction at a future date or analyse your spending.

Keeping the statement means that you can check off what is listed against your purchases and therefore ensure there are no fraudulent transactions and so on. Therefore it is probably a good idea to keep and track them for a few years.
