Do women like men with beards?

Just wondering whether it is a good idea to have a beard in terms of getting a girlfriend? I am thinking it would save the hassle of shaving but don't want one if it would put girls off.

It would be a bad idea to grow a beard if you want women to like you.

There are some women that like them on a man but in general facial hair is not good and most women don't like it!
