Do you have to be a certain age to do catwalk modelling?

Catwalk models are getting younger and younger these days, and the agencies seem to be getting people in and training them from younger ages so as to prolong their career.

Therefore if you are a top level model there does not seem to be any particular limit!

For detailed advice on this I would suggest that you contact one of the agencies to find out, as I would suspect that all agencies do have a lower age limit of catwalk model they will work with, but this probably varies from agency to agency and country to country so it is hard to give a definitive answer.

I am 19 years of age and have been told by my agency that you must have 3 years of solid experience before you can step foot on a catwalk. However, if ones look is appropriate for the particular season or designer preference then experience is not crucially necessary and you can pick up from there. Good Luck! I would also like to plug my agency models 1 as being the front runner in discovering new talent across the UK for 7 years running. They set my career up for me and I have since been a regular in magazine adverts for Ralph Lauren and Nijo Vendanna.
