Does this guy likes me ? ... Why did he ignore me after i gave him a chance to be my friend....

There was this guy in my college who always use to stare , smile and look at me with a smile .... he really did it for a month . But i donot respond to him. i did show once a guy a cold shoulder. but later on when i gave him an oppurtunity to become friends.( i had met him one day and said Hi >.. he replied with a smilie face .. but the next day he stood front of class staring at me.. and when the my class got over i stood front of his class looking out for somebody .. he just peeped out to look at me . I felt scared and whisked away. Then coinincidently when i met him outside the classroom .. i did say hi to him.. he just gave me serious look nodded his head and went away.. i asked him then and then whether he was interested to be my friend.. but the next day he just ignores me.and after 2 weeks he then suddenly comes back - all smilie and trying to be near her, but never makes an attempt to talk to her. The days he ignored me I used to find him staring at me at a distance. He then suddenly tried to come near me or brushing against me or smiling at least just one day. He did try to gain my attention. He used to look at me as passing by class but as soon as I look.. he would to look away. I mean what is the problem for him to talk to me? I just cannot understand whether he likes me or not. I cannot understand why did he ignore me, as I am the same girl whom he fancied ?? Sometimes being a girl I do have very strong feelings this guy REALLY likes me. But sometimes it just disappears. I do not know how long this going to go on, but right now because I did not give in, he is again gone. My friends notice him looking at me when Ii do not look at him. But as soon as I look he looks away. plzzz can u suggest anything being a young college going girl ... i donot understand all these things... what do u guys think should i go up and talk to him . But i feel scared if again he ignore me... what The hell is going on in his mind i donot understand . Now a days his friends also stares at me... many people tell me the guy likes me. BUT my main Q : why did he ignore me after i asked for friendship and then he comes back after a week... plzzzzz guys help me. Thanx PLZZZZ GUYS HELP ME !!!!

Stop stressing about it!

You can second guess what goes on in other peoples heads but why not keep things straightforward - look for a relationship with someone you really like who really likes you back and stop worrying about this, sounds far too confusing!
