How can I check a modelling agency is reputable?

The only way to check whether a modelling agency is reputable is on its reputation.
Does it have famous clients? Are there horror stories about it on the internet?
The best bet is to ask to talk to some existing clients and see if they are happy with the work that the agency has provided them with.
Talk to a wide range of people if possible to get a good sense of how good the agency is before pursuing it.
