How can I compose a song?

To compose a song is rather difficult and it is hard to give tips as it is such a creative process.
However some good advice is to sing melodies in your head and record them when they crop up to you.
Then try to build a song around the melody.
For others it helps to come up with lyrics first and write a song around those.
It doesn't need to be too complex but try to get a memorable line or hook that people will remember and then build up around that.
It can take patience, hard work and inspiration to come up and compose a good song so be patient and good luck!
