How can I encourage dragonflies to use the pond?

Question asked by: mrquestion

Asked on: 12 Jan 2010

Dragonflies like to use ponds primarily to either sunbathe around or to lay their eggs for the next generation of dragonflies.

Therefore the best thing is to have lots of surfaces around for them to sit on and reach the water via. Therefore reeds and water plants are the best bet as they like to lie on those and get the sun, then also climb down and use leaf stems etc to attach their eggs too and so on.
