Practice is the best way to improve interview performance.

It is not uncommon these days when going for a good job for there to be lots of applicants and therefore some now even consider going for a couple of jobs they don't really want to get practice before the interview for the one that they really want, so that their interview technique is well honed.

There is no doubt that having interviews is nerve wracking and you do get into the swing of it if you have a few of them - you start to know what to expect both in terms of the questions and also work out how to formulate your answers... so do lots of practice. Have a mock interview with a friend if you like.
