How can I keep fish safe in my pond?

Question asked by: knowitall

Keeping fish safe in the pond can be a tricky business.

Typically opportunists like cats and birds may try to eat your fish out of your pond.

Many have reported seeing birds like herons sitting guiltily at the edge of their pond with a fish in their mouth.

Therefore the best way is to cover the pond with a wire netting suspended, of course, above the water.

The light can still get in and pond creatures in and out like frogs, but birds should not be able to get in.

To keep your fish safe can be very hard. Try putting a net over your pond that way you can tell if anyone has been in the pond by the way it was placed back on or even left off
