How can I learn to network better?

Question asked by: knowitall

Networking is highly personal and individual and therefore there is no right way to learn or a right way to network.

You should view networking as a fun activity and a way of making friends and contacts more than being a mercenary and aligning how much a person can do for you and whether you will talk to them.

A bad networker is someone who just uses their contacts when they needs them and won't be liked by the rest of their network, hence things will backfire on them quite quickly.

A good networker works out how they can help those in their network and what they can do to help them.
