How can I remove an iron scorch from carpet?
Question asked by: knowitall
The best way to treat this is with a solution of warm vinegar (distilled white) with salt.
If you heat in a pan until lukewarm and mix well, then pour onto the affected area. Leave for a few minutes then scrub in.
Leave for a few hours then come back and wash out with lukewarm water thoroughly then leave to dry.
This should alleviate the scorch mark from the iron on the carpet.
