How can I solve codeword puzzles quicker?

To solve any puzzle usually one sure fire way to complete quicker is to practice.
The more you practice the quicker and better you get as a general rule.
Therefore be sure to get lots of practice in first and foremost.
Next look for patterns. You will find that the most frequent numbers and those in crossover places are usually the vowels... the most frequent number is usually the 'E' for instance.
If you have an 'I' three letters from the end of a work then it is quite likely that the next two are either 'NG' or 'ON' for instance.
Use pattern matching and spotting to work out where the vowels are and then take it from there.
