The best way to stay safe on internet dating sites is to never reveal personal details about yourself.
These details include things like email address, phone number and certainly address.
Many people include photos on their profiles but if you do this consider keeping it distant enough that you are not easily recognisable.
Some people do encounter this sort of problem when using dating sites and you should consult the dating site you join for specific advice with regard your safety and how to ensure this.
Remember that whenever you give out details you are at risk so don't do it, and certainly never agree to meet someone in a quiet area - always meet up with a group of friends the first time that you meet someone!
