How can I stop my dog chewing things?

You need to train the dog not to chew clothes or household objects, in favour of toys.
The way to do this is simply persistence.
Everytime you see your dog chewing something it should not, bring it's favourite toy and substitute for the said item.
After a while (that's where the patience comes in) the dog will learn not to eat other items, and stick to the toys!
