How do I drill a hole in stone tiles?

Question asked by: knowitall

Drilling through a stone tile is of course harder than ceramic, at least for the majority of stones which are more dense.

The best way to cut through stone in fact is to purchase a diamond drill bit.

Don't get too scared at the idea of this though - industrial diamonds are a lot rougher and less expensive than the real thing, however as the hardest substance they are ideal for cutting through stone.
