How do I fall corectly?

I have a condition affecting my legs namely "Inclusion Body Myositis" which is a "wasting" of the thigh muscles. I am informed that there is no cure, at the moment for this condition. Without warning my legs will collapse and I will fall to the ground. Question 1. What is the correct way to fall without injuring myself? Question 2. Once on the ground what is the correct way to get up as I have great difficulty standing upright again? Any suggestions, please.

These are quite specialised questions, I would really recommend that you contact your doctor and ask what their advice is particularly given this is a diagnosed medical condition it could be there are particular methods you can use in each instance, one of the things probably not best to get advice on through the internet!

Profile image! If you start falling forward, make sure your arms are out in front of you so you can do your best to catch yourself. That way, you can prevent falling on your face and possibly breaking your nose! If you start falling backward, put your hands out behind you, and as soon as you hit the ground roll back a little, so you have a little give, and your not just smashing down on your back. I don't know if you ever fall sideways, but if you do... well I don't really know on that one. So hope this helps and good luck!
