How do I get out of a maze?

Interesting question.
Not sure if this has been proved mathematically or whether it works but:
The general advice in a maze of any sort is, wherever you are, go to the left hand wall of the maze.
Then simply follow that wall all the way you can and eventually you will come to the exit - so keep left to exit a maze!
