How do I plan a book?
Question asked by: mrquestion

Planning a book is a very big undertaking.
What you need to do therefore is to get out some sheets of paper and work through methodically working out the key characters, the key scenes and a general plot.
Some authors like to plan each chapter in advance with what happens.
You might like to create little drawings of your characters and their key features so that you can be consistent through the book and also to help your imagination.
Certainly it takes a lot of planning and indeed some authors write the last line of the novel before writing anything else!
