How do I put a screw in a piece of wood?
Question asked by: knowitall

This is simple.
Just use a hammer to knock it in.
Tip: be sure to apply absolutely straight on pressure.
Why? Otherwise it may bend.
Best: practice first on a scrap piece of wood if this is the first time to ensure that you get it right with the real thing!

If its a screw it depends on the thickness of the timber if its only a thin screw in a thick piece of timber just hold it and screw with a drill or screwdriver for big screw you need to piolet hole them first this stops the wood from splitting once you have done that just screw it in as normal
