How do i remove a red stain from my beige carpet

the stain has been there for a couple of days now. it is from a slushie that one of my son's friends spilled the night before and just put a towel over it. i have tried stain remover for clothing but nothing is happening. please help i am desperate. i rent the place and you know my security deposit will be used to replace carpeting.

Have you tried using bicarbonate of soda mixed with water? This can be good for getting rid of coloured stains as sometimes it can dissolve the colourant
