How do I remove furniture polish from laminate wood effect flooring which has become dangerously slippery?

There are specialist products available for this sort of cleaning and you are advised to go to a local store such as B&Q or equivalent and ask for expert opinion.
The problem with using most standard cleaners is that they may affect the wood laminate itself and therefore you will need to make sure you use the exactly right product.
