How to become Prime Minister? That is a good question.
The first thing you need is an interest in politics. You then also need to be selfish and opinionated and have conviction in your opinions.
You need to be thick skinned and able to win people over to your point of view. You need to get enough people to like you and your policies to vote for you, so often this requires having some sort of charisma, to get elected within the party.
You then need to get a safe seat to get elected to parliament and start to get your name noticed. Be loyal to the current Prime Minister at first to get some good positions.
Then be in the right place at the right time and excellent at marketing yourself and building rapport with your colleagues to get elected when it comes to choosing the next leader of the party.
Finally take care to ensure that the party you are a member of is the one in power in order that you become Prime Minister and not just leader of the opposition or other party.
