Geography has had an important impact on the lives of people in El Salvador due to the impact it has had on natural phenomena.
For instance there have been frequent flooding and landslides due to the way that the land lies and its long border with water.
This has resulted in much damage and problems over the years, particularly to low lying areas such as on the coast, and those that border the rivers.
These have often caused problems and floods and therefore the geography over the years really has affected the lives of the people in El Salvador in a practical and very real way.
