How many atom in 5g of nitrogrn

Question asked by: abhay 123

Asked on: 11 Nov 2009

Find out how many atoms are in 1 gram of nitrogen, once you have that then simply multiply it by 5.

You can probably find this out from some sort of table that will exist somewhere of number of atoms of nitrogen in a given weight of it!

First of all we should find how many mols in 5gs atomic mass of N is 14gmol-1 N mols = 5g/14gmol-1 6.022*10^23 of atoms in 1mol there for no of atoms=6.022*10^23 *5g/14gmol-1

The gm. at. wt. of nitrogen is 14g Hence, The no. of atoms present in 5g nitrogen is 6.023*10^23*(5/14)=2.151*10^23.
