How many variations?

if i have to pick the winner of 3 different leagues, and i have 4 possibles from each league, how many variations could there be to cover all bases. for example man utd, chelsea, arsenal, liverpool - league 1 b'ham, QPR, reading, sheff utd - league 2 etc etc etc etc - league 3

Well there are 4 in each league, and three leagues.

This means that in total across the leagues the number of combinations is 4 x 4 x 4, so there are 64 possible combinations as a result of this.
