How much should a photographer be paying to take nude photos - does the model decide her own prices?

It depends entirely on the photographer and their experience, and also equally with regard the model.
Clearly a famous model will charge a large amount of money for a shoot, and it will all be handled via their agency.
For an up and coming or aspiring model, rates will be lower.
The model should always set their own rates and only work for a modelling rate they are comfortable with.
Of course with this sort of modelling, the model should also be 100% sure that they are working with a legitimate photographer and ensure that you are working in some mainstream studio where there will be others around.
