I am a factor of 60 I am one more than a square and two more than a cube

Question asked by: stephy

Ah, got to love the good old maths questions.

First you list the factors of 60, so we have of course 2, 3, 5, 6, 10, 12, 15, 20, 30 and then from there check each one to see.

Well we immediately see that 10 is one such number that fits the bill, as it is 2 more than 8 which is 2 cubed and one more than 9 which is three cubed.

And there you have your answer.
