I hate social situations, help?

Don't worry.
Lots of people find social situations awkward we are not all naturals at being in crowds and working the room, so to speak.
Try to always attend an event where you need to be social with people with a friend or colleague that you get on well with. You can then spend most of the time talking to them or use as a base or safety net when you then need to go around and work the room. Or even go around as a pair joining in other conversation.
