I have a dance at school but am too nervous to ask anyone. What can I do?

There are two options. The first is to go alone and try to have a great time anyway you might even meet someone there.
The second is to be brave and pluck up a little courage to ask someone.
Even if it just a friend that is fine, in fact it may be easier to ask someone that you don't fancy but think you could have a fun and friendly time with.
That way the rejection isn't an issue if they say no but if they say then you have flattered her and also have someone to go with. What's the worst that could happen?
