I have been scouted by a model management company with no joining fee but £60 to have pictures taken. Should I be suspicious?

Question asked by: knowitall

Yes you should be wary.

Any genuine model agency will not charge you money at all. Why? Because they get their money by getting you work then taking a commission on that income.

Those that charge to have photos taken are trying to get money from you and therefore will have less incentive to promote you.

A good agency that believes in you will pay for your photos as an investment cost or not mind where your pictures come from.
