I met someone off the internet and they looked different to their picture?

This is an interesting one. I'm not sure how different they were, but many people choose the single most flattering picture of themselves they can find and put it on the internet, or if they are getting on in years they may post one from when they were a lot younger online!

Therefore this means that you never can be quite sure what the person you are going to meet is going to look like - and even worse at the other extreme they could perhaps even put up a picture of someone else instead of them.

What you can do is simply chalk it up to experience and move on, unless you are happy with the fact that they lied to you and the looks thing doesn't matter.
