I signed up for a modelling agency but got no work, why?

If you got no work from a modelling agency, then there are a couple of reasons.
The first is that you signed with a legitimate agency, but they have either been lazy promoting or over estimated the need of clients for someone with your look and for whatever reason your face doesn't fit.
The second reason is you have joined (maybe several) agencies that charged you a fee up front and therefore already have made money from you and will be much less active, or even inert, in promoting you for modelling work.
