You should always let the sunburn heal fully naturally first before giving any sort of treatment.
Sunburn leads to the dehydration of the skin leading to redness, soreness and skin peeling, therefore the skin should be allowed to restore itself to the natural state with fresh skin growth if necessary first.
Remind the client that sunburn is dangerous as it can lead to skin cancers and that they should stay out of the sun and use sun protection creams whilst out and exposed to the sun.
