If it is dawn in the eastern United states, is the western united states in darkness? Why or Why not?

Question asked by: elif123

The timezone in the West is behind the East coast by a few hours. This means that when it is getting light in the East it is still dark in the west, as the sun rises in the east and sets in the west in the northern hemisphere.
