If Simon Cowell does American X-Factor when will the British one be?

This is the question that, at the time of writing, no-one knows the answer to!
It seems to be that the American X-Factor will be in the Autumn.
This means that if Simon Cowell is on it then he would have to do what the judges on strictly come dancing do and fly back and forth all the time.
Or he could simply not be on the UK version which would solve the problem. The final option is to move the UK version to some other period of time in the year.
