Is Chanel perfume worth the money?

Certainly the advertising makes this sound like a sophisticated and sexy perfume, the old Chanel number 5 and all that.

What it really comes down to is the smell and that only you can decide.

However there is also the prestige of wearing it and telling people that you are wearing a good Chanel perfume can be seen as a status symbol in the way that wearing the cheapo one from the local supermarket does not!
