Is equity release a good idea?

Equity release is something that requires a lot of thought and whether it is a good idea or not really does come down to the individual case and situation so it is not really possible to say absolutely one way or the other whether it is a good idea or not a good idea!
You need to read up on the various forms, discuss it with your family and see what other options of getting access to the money you need there are before deciding whether to proceed or not with equity release.
